India offers a wide variety of Indian, western and continental cuisine. Most Foreign / International students find it easy to adjust to food conditions here, and enjoy the flavours, aromas and the tastes that India offers.
Is there any health care facility in Pacific University for overseas students?

Pacific University also has two medical colleges and hospital in Udaipur, Pacific University also has a health centre in the university campus, where the students are treated for minor ailments.
However, for specialized/major treatments, the students have to contact our hospitals outside the campus. If students require, the institute will help the students to get a medical insurance cover.
It is always advisable to get a medical insurance cover.
What is the Cost of Living in India?

Living expenses are minimal in Udaipur. You can live comfortably within US$ 350-500 approximately a month to cover food and other expenses at Pacific University Campus, Udaipur.
Will I be able to get a Grant/Scholarship?

Pacific University do not provide grants for study. However, some institutions do offer fee concessions for Foreign / International students from SAARC countries. Government of India offers scholarships (hyperlink to Government of India Scholarship bullet point no 15) for students from some of the developing countries.

Yes, Foreign / International students travelling to India for higher education are required to undergo medical test for any communicable disease specifically AIDS, Yellow fever etc.
Is registration with FRRO office mandatory?

Yes, all Foreign / International students are required to register at FRRO within the stipulated time based on your nationality.
What are the documents required while registering with FRRO office?

The following documents are required for registration:
- Photocopy of the passport and visa
- Four photographs of the applicant
- Details of residents in India
- HIV test report from one of the WHO recognized institutions for people in the age group of 15 to 60
- Bonafide certificate from the university/college/institution
- Proof of Bank Account/sufficient funds for non-scholarship students
Will I be allowed to travel to other parts of the country?

Yes, Foreign / International Student can travel anywhere in India with a valid student visa. You can visit places of your choice and enjoy the experience of different people, cultures and lands.
Is there a deadline for applying?

Yes, Foreign / International students are advised to apply for respective courses by mid June. It will provide enough time for you to get prepared for session starting by end of June or early August.
Does the bank statement have to be in a sponsor's name or is it ok if it is in my name?

The bank statement can be either from your bank account or that of a "sponsor", or a combination of the two bank statements. If you use a sponsor's bank statement you will also need to have the sponsor write a letter to the school stating the following: "I am the sponsor for _______ and I intend to provide him/her with financial assistance during his/her first year at the (name of school) up to the amount of $_____.
What should I do if my bank statement does not reflect US dollars?

Can I have more than one sponsor?

Yes, you can have as many sponsors as you like. However, you and the sponsors need to make it clear to the visa officials why they are willing to provide money to you for your education in the India
What if I am in my last semester of undergraduate study? Can I apply to the program now?

Pacific University will process on "conditional" acceptance for you – stating that, admission will be granted only after producing a valid DEGREE CERTIFICATE and an equivalent certificate (if the degree is from Foreign / International University outside INDIA).
How and when can a Foreign / International student apply for admission?

Application form is made available on Pacific University website for admission to various programme of study for the Monsoon Semester beginning July.
Whether an Foreign / International student can apply without appearing in entrance examination conduct by the PACIFIC UNIVERSITY?

Yes, Foreign / International students need not to appear in the entrance exam conducted by Pacific University.
What are eligibility requirements for admission?

The basic eligibility requirements for admission are the following documents:
- AIU Equivalent certificate:
- Foreign / International students who have appeared for Grade 12th examination from an Indian Board or have passed their last qualifying examination from Indian University are not required to obtain the Equivalence Certificate.
- Foreign / International student with Foreign / International qualification are required to obtain and submit an equivalent certificate from Association of Indian University with admission form.

When the tuition fees and other charges are payable for admission?

Application form fees is payable at the time of filling the application form online, Tuition fees is payable within 10-14 days of receiving the provisional admission letter and rest other fees can be paid at the time of registration also. If an Foreign / International student wishes to pay all the fees with tuition fees, he can do so.
In which currency an Foreign / International student has to pay tuition fees and other charges?

An Foreign / International student can pay the fees in either US dollar or Indian Rupees.
What is the duration of programme of study?

The duration of :-
- Bachelor degree (undergraduate) programme is three years (six semesters).
- Master degree programme is two years (four semesters).
- M.Phil/Ph.D is an integrated programme of study. After completion of M.Phil programme of study in two years (four semesters), a student is allowed to continue Ph.D degree programme without applying afresh.
- The maximum period for completion of M.Phil/Ph.D integrated programme is six years plus one year grace period.
