RSC Symposium on “Physical Methods in Chemical Sciences” October 02 - 03, 2016
A two day Symposium on “Physical methods in Chemical Sciences” was being organized by Department of Chemistry & PG Studies, Pacific University in collaboration with Royal Society of Chemistry, London (West India Section) on 2-3 October, 2016. In Symposium eminent Scientist of the Country shared their knowledge in interaction session on the approaches to simplify complex physical methods for deeper research analysis. Prof. A.K. Singh, IIT-Mumbai, Ex. Vice Chancellor, Allahabad University spoke on Bio-chemical Studies, Prof. G. Govil, TIFR, Mumbai on NMR and X-Ray Techniques. Similarly, Prof. D. Khashalani, Mumbai discussed Techniques for Structural Studies and Dr. S. Bagchi from NCL, Pune on Infrared Spectroscopy. Dr. Rakshit Ameta explained the advanced oxidation process like Photocatalysis, Photo-Fenton Reagent etc. About 100 delegates from different States of the Country participated in the Symposium. This type of Symposium is organized for the first time in collaboration with Royal Society of Chemistry, London particularly in this region.
